EXPECTING BABY MEILI & HAVING HER PHOTOS TAKEN TWO WEEKS AFTER HER BIRTH
Gorgeous little baby girl Meili was born mid November in 2019. I first met her lovely mum when she came to my studio for maternity portrait session, only a few days before giving birth.
We have used several backgrounds and outfits during her session. She was excited to try my maternity gowns. The white embroidered one she is wearing on the image above is one of the most loved dresses in my studio. Most of my expecting clients choose to wear it. As many others before her, Lena looked absolutely stunning in it.
Lena was amazing throughout the whole session, I didn’t have to explain too much to her, she seemed to have a natural talent to pose in front of my camera.
As always, we used a shawl Lena chose from my studio’s wardrobe. It is one of my favourite things to do during my maternity sessions, to experiment with a beautiful shawl to show the stunning shape of pregnancy.
The last dress Lena tried was the sleeveless purple one which looked amazing on her. We have tried standing, sitting and lying down poses in this dress.
AFTER THE BIG DAY
Lena and her partner came back with little Meili to the studio when she was only two weeks old. She was simply adorable! I enjoyed all the cuddles and the cute faces she made while I photographed her. She was such a good girl throughout her whole session, I was very proud of her – and so were her parents.
Little Meili first tested my basket which was new at that time. The truth is that she actually wasn’t asleep at this part of the session, I just managed to take a shot when she blinked so she looks likes she was fast asleep. She also tried on one of my cute baby head bands and she looked adorable with it.
After the basket shots we took family photos, first using my favourite dark grey paper background and then the white one. Little Meili enjoyed mum’s and dad’s cuddle as well.
After the family portraits the little Meili fell asleep so I got to take beautiful sleeping images of her on the beanbag, using my soft light pink blanket.
After showing the images to the parents a week later, they decided to choose one of my fine art album collections. The beautiful album arrived two weeks later and I hope that it will be a precious memory for them about these special times.
The gorgeous 30 pages handmade album is 10×10″ size, covered with a beautiful material in “Bondi Sand” colour and came with a grandparent album. The grandparent album is the small 5×5″ size version of the original album.
