Sue Bryce, an internationally acknowledged, multi award winning professional photographer created the Portrait Masters program. Her goal was to acknowledge, honor, and celebrate high-quality, professional work and to arm photographers with public recognition they deserve in their field.
The Portrait industry is getting stronger and more valued all around the world. This means that it is becoming more and more important for professional photographers to apply for awards and accreditations to stand out from the crowd.
As a proud member of the Sue Bryce Education program for years, I feel that my skills have improved a lot and I’m so grateful for everything I learned and experienced. This year was the first time that I participated in the image awards and submitted 10 images. I can proudly announce that all 10 of them were awarded with bronze awards.

Maternity Portraits
This image received the highest score and got very close to receiving a Silver award. This is one of my favorite poses and lighting setups I always do at my maternity sessions. My clients always love it and choose it amongst their favorites.
Another one of my favorite maternity photography poses and lightings. The large windows in my portrait studio provide beautiful natural light.
A partly nude maternity photo of beautiful Cara when she was 7 months pregnant. I love how it turned out with this blue maternity photo shoot dress and the black paper background.
The shape of pregnancy is beautiful and it deserves to be shown on images. I love maternity nude portraiture where I can go really artistic and show the beautiful curves of the female body.
A classic maternity portrait, using one of my favorite scarf as a prop. This gorgeous expecting mama had such a lovely smile, I enjoyed every minute of photographing her.
Newborn Portraits
I created this composite image to show the beauty of the beginning of motherhood. Motherhood photography is my absolute favorite genre to capture. These images were also taken in front of the large windows in the studio.
I captured this beautiful moment at gorgeous little Eloise’s and her little baby brother’s newborn and family portrait session. I hope that their parents will treasure this portrait for many years to come.
Baby Jayden looked so adorable in his matching outfit with mum. This image was one of my personal favorites. My purpose is to keep try and experiment with mother and baby portraits to lift it to a high professional standard.
This adorable baby boy was nearly two months old at his newborn photography session. His mum asked me to use plush toys on his portraits, especially the big bunny. I love how the toys are looking over him like they were adoring and protecting the baby.
Pet Photography
Pet photography hasn’t really been my focus in the past 15 years I’ve been working as a photographer. Still, I do love animals and couldn’t resist testing my hand painted canvas background with the help of my adorable puppy. The high score it received shows that it is not bad at all for someone who is not a pet photographer.
I still have 20 points to collect to achieve the Associate level. My plan is to work very hard to succeed and qualify for even higher levels. Until that, I am still a proud AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) Accredited Member. The Portrait Masters Accreditation would add to this and would make me very proud at what I achieved.
